Meet the winemaker - Domaine des Malandes

Domaine des Malandes, Chablis Grand Cru "Vaudesir" AOC is an exquisite, fresh dry white wine created from selected Chardonnay grapes that were harvested from two plots of the Vaudesir vineyard.

The name of the vineyard in French means "royal tower". One of the plots has a southern exposure and was planted in 1967. On the second plot, facing north, the vines were planted in 1986. The vineyard "Vaudesir", with a total area of 0.77 hectares, has unique soils formed in the Jurassic period.

Due to their special composition, the wines acquire a characteristic taste with a bright minerality.

The harvest is harvested by hand when the berries reach optimal ripeness. At the winery, the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C in 600-liter oak barrels, of which 20% are new. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel vats for 7 months. Wine can be drunk young or wait 6 years until the taste is fully revealed.
